The final field and barrier draw has been released for the Group 3 Summer Cup, which is due to run at Rosehill Racecourse next Monday December 26, 2011.

12 horses have accepted to run in the 2011 Summer Cup, including Mr Tipsy who is the top-weight for the race.

Mr Tipsy has been allocated 58 kilograms for the Summer Cup 2011, despite finishing seventh in the Group 2 Gold Cup in New Zealand on December 10.

The New Zealander finished a close second in the Group 2 Counties Cup at Pukekohe Racecourse last month and won the Listed Karaka Classic earlier in his preparation.

Mr Tipsy has won nine of his 33 starts and has earned more than $500,000 in prize money.

The seven-year-old gelding has drawn barrier eight for the 2011 Summer Cup and will be written by jockey Hugh Bowman.

Also included in the 2011 Summer Cup final field is Full Peal, who has won all five of his previous starts.

Full Peal will be contesting his first group race in the 2011 Summer Cup after rising successfully through the ranks in open company throughout his current preparation.

The five-year-old gelding has drawn the widest barrier of 12 for the 2011 Summer Cup and will be ridden by jockey Kerrin McEvoy.

The Clangalang gelding has won seven of his 14 career starts and has earned more than $120,000 in prize money.

Solid Billing, Strike One and Scouting Wide are also included in the 2011 Summer Cup final field and barrier draw.
